I finally have some pics of this spoon, since I left it in someone's kitchen (you know who you are..).
It's a piece of cheery plum with a burr for the bowl. There are great spots of red in the bowl which I enjoyed carving my way through and the back looks like a bone - pure neanderthal. Nice peachy colours up the handle and a wych elm bark loop.
